Like most kids, I was introduced to basketball at an early age and as my skills developed and I grew as a player I fell in love with the game. The countless hours I poured into the game helped me avoid many negative pitfalls, while building character, determination, and responsibility along with countless other necessary life skills. As a token of my appreciation to the game and a way of paying it forward via coaching and teaching these same life skills to the youth girls basketball players in the community. Firstly, I task them to strengthen independently per decision making; Secondly, work selflessly to add to the team goals. I firmly believe "it takes a village to raise a child" and I'm blessed, proud, and excited to be in this village! |
